We are well into the holiday season, with Thanksgiving already having come and gone. As we move forward at what seems to be light speed this holiday season, we want to take a moment and slow down to recognize the beauty and notable moments happening in many Habitats homes this year. For a dozen Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity homeowner families, this is the first holiday season being spent in their home!
We spoke to one of our new homeowners, Miss Bizzell, and asked her what this holiday season means to her. Her answer was joyful! “It is a blessing and the best Christmas gift to give my kids this year.” She spoke about how hard this year has been on their family and how excited she is to spend this time with her Family, settling into their new home. Miss Bizzell is looking forward to continuing her family’s Christmas traditions this year and hopes to build new traditions in her new home.
We are thrilled for the Bizzell family along with all our new Habitat homeowners. The joys of homeownership are prevalent this time of year. An affordable mortgage helps families with the additional expenses we have come to expect during the holidays. Each year, dozens of local families get to enjoy their first holiday in their new home.
