Our semi-formal dining fundraiser took place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, located at 536 N. Eastern Blvd., Fayetteville, NC 28301.

“Home Is Where the Heart Is,” featured acclaimed actress and cultural icon Phylicia Rashad, to raise awareness and critical financial support for affordable homebuilding efforts in our community.

Ms. Rashad is an award-winning American actress, singer, and stage director, best known for her role as Claire Huxtable on The Cosby Show. She also portrays Mary Anne Creed, Adonis Creed’s adoptive mother, in the Creed film franchise. A Howard University alumna, Ms. Rashad made history as the first Black actress to win a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for A Raisin in the Sun. She is also the sister of the renowned actress and choreographer Debbie Allen.

Through monetary donations, materials, and volunteer labor, Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity can build newly constructed homes, perform critical home repairs, and provide workforce development for youth through our Construction Camp.

Thank you to all of our sponsors that have made our fundraiser successful. We would like to thank our presenting sponsor, Cape Fear Valley Health.
