Patriot’s Day at Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity: Honoring Service and Supporting Veterans

As part of our Season of Service for Veteran’s Build 2024, Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity (FAHFH) held events from September 9th to September 14th, 2024, to honor Patriot’s Day and support our local Veterans and First Responders. At the Habitat ReStore on Bragg Boulevard, we created a special display remembering the historic events during 9/11. Throughout the week, we extended a heartfelt thank you to all first responders by offering them a discount in recognition of their service.

On September 14th, FAHFH worked on a Veteran Home Repair project for a local Navy Veteran in Wade, NC. Local active duty service members and Veterans came together to repair the Veteran's porch ensuring safe access to his home. FAHFH will also finish his roof and floor repairs but the work the volunteers did on September 14th is critical to us completing our mission.

We are grateful for the incredible support from The Home Depot Foundation, as well as our local sponsors: First Storage, the Cape Fear MOAA Chapter, Leidos, Park's Building Supply, and Spartan Nash. Their contributions, along with the efforts of our dedicated volunteers, are making a lasting difference in the lives of local Veterans.

FAHFH thanks its Patriot Build supporters; Leidos, First Storage, the Cape Fear Chapter of the MOAA, Spartan Nash, Parks Building Supply, and the Home Depot Foundation.
