Winners of best-looking properties in Fayetteville area

The Park View residential development in downtown Fayetteville nabbed the Best New Multi-Family Residential Property award Thursday night.

The $14 million development off Bragg Boulevard was one of 13 winners announced by the City-County Joint Appearance Commission.

There were others who received special recognition:

  • The Fayetteville Metropolitan Housing Authority, for the Hope VI project, which has improved the appearance of the Old Wilmington Road area.
  • Harry Shaw of Fayetteville, for his vision and leadership in the development of the Cross Creek Linear Park in downtown Fayetteville.
  • Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity, for various projects that have improved the appearance of areas along Old Wilmington Road, Hedgepeth Street and Grace Avenue.
  • The Kingdom Community Development Corp. of Spring Lake, for the Balsawood Circle development project in Spring Lake.
  • The city of Fayetteville, for the Franklin Street Parking Deck, which opened in 2012.
