North Carolina governor wants more help for Hurricane Matthew victims

Gov. Roy Cooper was back in Fayetteville on Thursday, calling on Congress and state lawmakers to appropriate more money to help victims of Hurricane Matthew.

Cooper was working on a Habitat for Humanity house that was damaged by the Oct. 8 storm. He also signed a law that waives the waiting week and work search requirements for unemployment claims due to a federally declared disaster such as the hurricane.
