North Carolina governor wants more help for Hurricane Matthew victims |

Gov. Roy Cooper was back in Fayetteville on Thursday, calling on Congress and state lawmakers to appropriate more money to help victims of Hurricane Matthew. Cooper was working on a Habitat for Humanity house that was damaged by the Oct. 8 storm. He also signed a law that waives the waiting week and work search requirements for unemployment claims due to a federally declared disaster such as the hurricane. |
