Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity (FAHFH) and longtime national partner Lowe’s are hosting “how-to” clinics for the public to learn basic construction skills and to encourage women in Fayetteville to volunteer during the 10th annual National Women Build Week.
Local how-to clinics will be held on every Saturday in April at 10 AM and repeated at 1:30 PM on the following dates:
Electrical Safety Date: 4/8/17
How to Safely Use Hand and Power Tools Date: 4/15/17
How to Finish Interior with Paint and Trim Date: 4/22/17
Clinics will be hosted concurrently at Lowe’s Home Improvement locations at 1929 Skibo Road and 3909 Ramsey Street in Fayetteville.
The following how-to clinic will be hosted at 10 AM at the Habitat ReStore, 3833 Bragg Boulevard:
How to Frame for Walls and Roofs, and Siding Basics Date: 4/29/17
May 8 – May 9 all-day
Join us May 8-9 and learn new construction skills needed to effectively contribute to Habitat’s mission.
Our goal with Women Build is to empower women to help families build strength, stability and independence. We at Habitat have the ability to provide opportunities for hands-on learning, and given these tools, women can succeed in changing their communities.

As one of 24 team leaders engaged in the 24- Hour Build, you will improve a family’s future for generations to come. Construction experience is not required. Align yourself with the media recognition and signage during construction and at the home dedication.
Proceeds from Habitat 24 will be designated to the cost of materials and supplies to construct this new home.
