AmeriCorps VISTA positions available with FAHFH

Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity (FAHFH) is seeking twAmeriCorps logoo AmeriCorps VISTA members to serve in the construction and family services departments.

The AmeriCorps construction crew leader will staff events to educate the community about the need for affordable housing and recruit volunteers; assist with hands on construction tasks including, but not limited to, demolition, site prep, framing, and insulation; and manage volunteers while modeling best safety practices. Prior construction experience is preferable.

The AmeriCorps member will serve both on the site and in the construction department of the affiliate’s 310 Green Street office. Construction tools will be provided.

The AmeriCorps VISTA for family services will implement a plan for partner family recruitment and support, and increase the overall Habitat partner family experience. The VISTA member will serve the ever-growing number of families served through the homeownership, Neighborhood Revitalization (NR), and A Brush With Kindness (ABWK) programs, and critical home repair. The VISTA member will report to the Director of Family Services to develop products and programs to allow FAHFH the capacity to recruit program participants and support current homeowners.
